While waiting for the client to review the drawings,
I finished the sculpture that had been sitting around for several days.
In the end, I decided to carve patterns onto the ball
( not on the cage as there was hardly any space to maneuver a knife...😑).
The carving process was quite a struggle,
even with a detail carving knife...
It was quite difficult to maneuver the knife through the small gaps of the cage,
what make it worse was that it's a curved surface...
Also there was no good way to fixate the ball,
the only way was to use my finger to pinch it.
And I had to constantly rotate the ball to expose the uncarved part...
By the time I was done, my fingers were almost cramping....
The man who created
in the National Palace Museum is absolutely a master!
