A collaborative process to turn your vision to reality
One of the reasons I started woodworking is because we always have a hard time finding premade furniture that fits our space, our aesthetic, and our need all at the same time. It’s either “If only the shelves were a bit further apart” or “This would’ve been perfect, but why does it have to be neon green with pink stripes?!” Over the time, we learned that buying “almost work but not quite” furniture can create a lot of daily frustrations, which compromises the flow of our home & work life that we really value. As a maker and a multi-disciplinary artist, we also have some specific storage and functional needs that furniture on the market often don’t accommodate, so I started designing and building customize furniture for our home & workspace, and over the years have fallen in love with it.
Origin
Coming from an Engineer and Architecture background, I am a firm believer of “Form follows Function” and I am trained to work from the lens of spatial relationship instead of just the furniture itself. My years in an architectural firm working with projects ranging from senior residence, condos & townhomes, corporate head office, commercial plaza, to medical lab and industrial facilities, has also honed my ability to create tailored solutions for spaces with very different needs. Following that, my experience as a scenic carpenter in film & TV industry has allowed me to further develop my woodworking skills and creative problem-solving in a professional setting.

Design
Every project comes with its unique challenges, but my favourite thing about the custom furniture process is how collaborative it can be, and being able to see the direct impact my work can bring into my client’s space/life up close. If there’s something in your work or living space that is adding more friction than value every time you use or look at it – be it the desk with drawers and shelves that fits none of your stuff; a corner with all your/your kid’s/your pet’s special collections in boxes or over the floor because you haven’t found a solution to store AND display them; or you just want a media center that can fit your odd-shaped space like a glove – I can help you turn the upgrade you envision into reality!
