Got Tired of taking out clothing from suitcase, it's time to build some storage...

After living in our new home for couple months, I've became really tired of store my clothing in the suitcase, it's a pain and an eyesore.... However, I always find the storage product in the store either quite expensive or you will have to make some sort of compromise to fit the space you have. On top of that, since we moved to an old townhouse, the walls are totally not square so it's going to be even harder to find a sold product that fit my need.

SO, since I finally have a garage and some power tools, it's a perfect opportunity to dive into the woodworking world!!! After laying out all my cloths, I can determine how much of storage I actually need and how do I want to separate them into different categories. And we have 2 drawers left over from our IKEA kitchen, I decided to incorporate those into the design.

Preliminary Design

This is my first time building something this big and the first time using some larger power tools, of course it wasn't going as smoothly as I hope. But the biggest challenge is probably to maneuver the material in a small garage which was still filled with our stuff, some junk left by the previous owner and some construction waste/material left over by the renovation. But for my first woodworking project, it's FUN and I'm quite satisfy with the final product I ended up with. It's not the most beautiful thing in the world and it's certainly not 100% cover all my expectation and needs, but I learned a whole lot and all this experience will be carried into my next build. I made a video showing/recording my thought process from design to finish, check below if you are interested!
